STARS4WATER

Climate change affects us all, and the Dutch Delta - one of Western Europe’s 4 primary river systems - is no exception. Indeed, the low water levels in the delta are an expression of this global threat.

Moreover, the circumstances unique to each river basin present a host of challenges. Stars4Water will help us to strengthen our collective understanding and build a cohesive network of water managers, each tackling the same challenges.

Informed decision-making

A key aim of Stars4Water is to empower decision-makers, arming them with tailor-made information and sophisticated tools based on stakeholder needs. These refined tools will offer authorities the precision they need to assess the potential consequences of climate change.

Climate risk assessments

Particularly for the Dutch Delta, there is an urgent need to anticipate and adapt to climate change, as well as shifts in the land and water use.

Stars4Water will develop narratives of potential future scenarios. They will drive the design of critical policy and management strategies to help us navigate the uncertain waters of the future.
